Plunger

1. Preheat plunger with hot water, then empty.

2. Place a dessert spoon of ground coffee per person eg 2 dessertspoons for a 2 cup plunger, into the bottom of the plunger. Medium to coarse grind is best.

3. Pour near-boiling water into plunger ensuring that all the grinds are saturated with water, then stir with a spoon.

4. Replace plunger lid and allow to stand, depending on strength of coffee required. For a weaker brew, allow to stand for 2 minutes; and for a stronger brew, allow to stand for up to 5 minutes.

5. Slowly depress the plunger knob, whilst holding the plunger handle firmly on a non-slip surface, until plunger knob is fully depressed.
Serve.
