Drip Filter Dripolator

How to make coffee in a dripolator
How to make coffee in a dripolator
The principle here is very simple. Near-boiling water drips and filters through coffee placed in a cone, down into a pot below.
Some drip filters use filter papers in the cone. Many newer coffee makers do not need these.

Electric Drip-Filter Coffee Maker

1. Choose coffee of medium grind.

2. Add the required amount of cold water to the water tank, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

3. If filter paper is required, insert one into the cone.

4. Add 7-10 grams of ground coffee per cup into the filter paper or filter basket.

5. Turn on the machine - the process is automatic.

6. When all the water has filtered through the coffee is ready.
Most drip-filter coffee makers have a hot plate to keep the coffee warm for the second cup but, for the best possible flavour, don’t let it sit for any length of time on the hotplate or the coffee will burn and taste bitter.

Manual Drip-Filter Coffee Maker
If you don’t have an automatic electric drip-filter coffee maker, an ordinary drip filter works just as well.
1. Insert the filter paper into the cone.

2. Add the ground coffee into the filter paper. Normally allow 7 - 10 gram per cup of medium to coarse ground coffee.

3. Pour near-boiling water over the coffee.

4. Allow the water to filter through the coffee into the pot, and serve.
