The Perfect Coffee

  • Coffee should always be prepared fresh.

  • Vittoria Coffee uses only 100% Arabica beans and the aroma has a rich pleasant smell. It is sometimes described as vivid or fragrant.

  • The taste is characteristically mild in acidity with a balance of sweetness and bitterness attached.

Espresso
(Short Black)
A single shot or dose of coffee (25-30 secs) served in a demitasse to give 25-30mls of liquid.
Caffé Latté
A single dose of espresso served in a cup or glass filled with steamed milk. Should contain a fine layer of foam.1/3 coffee and 2/3 milk. In Italy and France, traditionally a breakfast drink.
Macchiato
A single dose of espresso served in a demitasse or small glass with a spoonful of milk (frothed or heated) to stain the coffee.
Flat White
A single dose of espresso in a cup topped with steamed milk, 1/3 coffee and 2/3 milk. Alternitavely, made as a long black with milk added.
Ristretto
(trans. means restricted)
Espresso served in a demitasse with a single dose of coffee. The machine is stopped part way to give only 15-20mls of liquid.
Cappuccino
A single dose of espresso in a cappuccino cup with steamed milk and froth added. Ratio of one third coffee, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 froth. Bubbles should be small and dense, Chocolate sprinkled to taste.

Long Black
A single dose of espresso floated over 2/3 cup hot water.
Chocochino®
(Hot Chocolate)
Cappuccino size drink with chocolate substituted for coffee, steamed milk and froth.
