Our Facility

We operate one of the most sophisticated roasting facilities in the southern hemisphere. We are about not only the Art, but the Science of coffee. Our technologically advanced roasting capabilities provide greater control of the coffee roasting process. This ensures the ability to replicate the desired profile of each batch accurately, with unrivalled consistency.

Our state-of-the-art facility produces not only the finest quality beans and ground coffee but we're also now the most sophisticated producer of capsules in Australia with our six lane Rychiger packing line producing 360 capsules per minute. Our capsule range consists of multiple capsule brands for our capsule system Espressotoria as well as a range of Vittoria Coffee compatible capsules with production capabilities to match.

The Roasting Process

Step 1: Sourcing Beans

We source the finest 100% Arabica coffee beans from all over the world. A sophisticated lab and professional quality assurance team ensure the raw coffee meets our stringent quality standards.

Step 2: Blending

Every blend has been crafted by three generations of family and still today this family tradition remains. The blending of origins is our family expertise. The scientific matching of origins is what makes this possible. The raw coffee is measured for moisture, cleaned and blended before roasting, allowing us to tailor the roasted profile for each blend. This ensures each batch is as consistent as the last.

Step 3: Roasting

Our Probat drum roasters are considered the world’s best. Utilising a slower, more controlled method, our roasters consistently achieve the optimum development and profile of each roast.

Step 4: Packing for Freshness

Packing coffee is an art within itself that is often overlooked. To retain freshness our coffee is packed into state of the art italian packaging equipment within minutes of being roasted. Vacuum packaging, one way value technology and the use of nitrogen further assist us in reducing any residual oxygen drastically improving the freshness of our product.

Step 5: Quality Assurance

Over 20 steps of QA measures. This involves a range of assessments that are carried out before, during and after the roasting process. The constant assessment and judgement of variables including colour, moisture content, grind and of course taste ensures each batch meets our stringent quality standards.
