Alejo Castro is a 5th generation producer whose family has grown specialty coffees in Costa Rica for over 200 years. His three farms include Hacienda Colima, Volcan Asul and Hacienda La Union which are all located in Costa Rica's West Valley.
The coffee is grown in rich soils produced by the Barva and Poas Volcano, sitting between 1,400 and 1,700 masl.
Roasted to a medium profile, this coffee delivers a harmonious balance between sweet and tart, complemented by a subtle hint of floral undertones.
